History & significance

One of the few Saraswati temples in Telangana, built on a hillock at Wargal through the efforts of the scholar Yayavaram Chandrashekhara Sharma and maintained by the Kanchi Shankara Mutt. It runs a Veda pathashala and daily annadanam, and families bring children here for akshara abyasam, their first lesson in letters.
