A Buddhist temple about a kilometre from Gampaha town whose history is believed to reach back to the reign of Parakramabahu VI. Its tempita image house — of the type raised on granite pillars that was popular in Sri Lanka between the 17th and 19th centuries — is dated to 21 March 1861, and a stupa stands beside it.
