One of the largest and most remote foundations of Jayavarman VII's great building programme, flourishing in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries in what is now Banteay Meanchey province. Its carvings include multi-armed dancing Heruka figures and other tantric imagery alongside Lokeshvara, and the settlement around it, with its moats and water channels, notably lacks the formal grid that ordered most Angkorian centres. The site is on UNESCO's tentative list and has suffered heavy looting in recent decades.
