History & significance

A Shiva temple on the banks of the Kaveri at Iluppaipattu in Mayiladuthurai district, also known as Tirumannippadikkarai. It is one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams praised in the early medieval Tevaram hymns of the Nayanar saint Sundarar.
