A Narasimha temple at Srirangam attributed to the 9th-century Pandya king Vallabadevan. Pillai Lokacharya gave philosophical discourses here in the 12th century, and Manavala Mamunigal took charge of its administration in the 15th at a Pandya ruler's request.
The deity is called Varaprasadi, the granter of boons, and the shrine Ekaanthanthaman Koil for the stillness of its precinct.
