A Hanuman temple at Tumakuru whose image was consecrated more than five centuries ago by Vyasaraja, rajaguru of the Vijayanagara empire and teacher of Kanakadasa and Purandaradasa, as one of 732 Hanuman images he installed across India. A 75-foot statue of the god was unveiled at its entrance in May 2005.
