History & significance

A three-shrine Hoysala temple of the mid-thirteenth century under Vira Someshwara, with subsidiary sanctums for Sridhara and Venugopala. Lacking a foundation stone, it is dated from sculptors' signatures, among them the master Mallitamma, and carries over a hundred carved panels.
