The vast twin temple of Nellaiappar and Kanthimathi dominating Tirunelveli, its sanctums credited to the 7th-century Pandya Nindraseer Nedumaran, with musical pillars and later mandapams spread over nearly six hectares. It is a Paadal Petra Sthalam of the Tevaram canon.
