A coastal Divya Desam on the Mahabalipuram road whose original structure was raised by the 7th-century Pallavas with 11th-century Chola additions. Its sanctum holds a rare seven-foot granite Varaha bearing Bhudevi on his lap, and the shrine is favoured by those seeking marriage.
Varaha is said to have wedded the 360 daughters of the sage Kalava one on each day of the year, becoming the 'ever-marrying' Nithyakalyana Perumal.
