A Shiva temple at Pamani, historically Tiru Padaleswaram, counted among the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams and sung by Sambandar, Sundarar and Appar in the Tevaram. It serves as a Rahu–Ketu parihara sthalam, with its remedial rites performed on Fridays and Sundays.
