Rock-cut Shiva caves at Ambajogai carrying an inscription of Saka 1066 associated with the Paramara king Udayaditya of Malwa, with a four-pillared pavilion opening on a hall carried by thirty-two pillars and sculptures of Shiva, the Saptamatrikas and Ganesha. They were described in Fergusson and Burgess's 1880 The Cave Temples of India and are a state-protected monument.
Local belief holds that the caves mark a wedding of the goddess Jogaidevi that could not be completed, at which the elephants and structures inside were turned to stone.
