History & significance

A Shiva temple in the Sirkazhi block of Mayiladuthurai district, at a place historically called Kalikamoor, counted among the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams. It was sung by Tirugnanasambandar in the Tevaram, and the sage Parasara is held to have worshipped here.
