A hill temple in Nandyal district built in the 15th century by Harihara Bukka Raya of the Sangama dynasty of Vijayanagara, where Shiva and Parvati are worshipped together as Uma Maheswara. Its pushkarini is fed through a carved bull, and the hillside holds the Agastya, Venkateswara and Veera Brahmam caves.
Tradition says the sage Agastya meant to raise a Venkateswara temple here, but the image's toe broke, so he did penance and Shiva granted the shrine instead.
