History & significance

The Dharmapuram shrine near Karaikal in the Union Territory of Puducherry, one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams glorified by Tirugnanasambandar in the Tevaram; its deity's name recalls the bending of the yazh, the ancient Tamil lute.
