History & significance A soapstone Vishnu temple at Settikere in Tumkur district, built in 1261 CE by an officer of the Hoysala empire under king Narasimha III. It follows a three-shrine plan on a raised jagati platform, with the central vimana laid out on a semi-stellate ground.
