திருஉறையூர்
Uraiyur, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu · 10.8269°, 78.6734°
A Vishnu temple in Uraiyur, the old Chola capital, counted among the 108 Divya Desams and traditionally listed second after Srirangam. Unusually, the goddess Kamalavalli holds precedence here over the presiding deity.
Vishnu is said to have come to Uraiyur as the bridegroom Azhagiya Manavalan to wed the Chola princess Kamalavalli, an incarnation of Lakshmi.
