History & significance

Also called the Suresvara Mahadeva temple, this 10th-century shrine stands inside the Tala Bazaar market complex in old Bhubaneswar. Built of coarse grey sandstone in dry masonry, it is locally attributed to the Somavamsi (Kesari) rulers.
