History & significance A ruined Digambara Jain temple in the eastern group at Khajuraho, built around 995 CE under the Chandela king Dhanga and dedicated to Rishabhanatha. Only its pillared hall survives, and it takes its name from the chain-and-bell motif carved on those pillars.
