History & significance

An early Shiva shrine in the Jalpaiguri plains dated to the Gupta period and attributed to a feudatory of the Gupta kingdom. It is protected as an archaeological site and a West Bengal State Protected Monument, making it one of north Bengal's oldest surviving temple remains.
