History & significance

A Rama temple at Irumpanam near Kochi, attributed to Chera patronage, where Rama is venerated in his form after the slaying of Khara; largely destroyed by fire, it was rebuilt by devotees with copper-plated roofs and panchaloha Dashavatara panels and is now run by the Cochin Devaswom Board.
