A row of five andesite Buddhist shrines near Muntilan, thought from the detail of their carving to be slightly older than Borobudur and understood as a dedication to the five Dhyani Buddhas; the north temple keeps a headless meditating Ratnasambhava in varamudra. Rampant lion figures at the corners and ratna pinnacles more usual on Hindu temples mark the group out.
