A Bhadrakali temple in Trincomalee whose foundation date is unknown but which is named in inscriptions from the 11th century and earlier, and was greatly enlarged by the Chola king Rajendra I. It draws pilgrims jointly with the nearby Koneswaram temple during the Ther Thiruvillah chariot festival.
