A tenth-century Shiva temple at Sivapuram built under Rajaraja Chola and extended by his son Rajendra Chola I, now cared for by the Tamil Nadu Department of Archaeology. Its walls carry a dense body of Chola inscriptions, including a grant of 180 goats by Rajendra I to keep two perpetual lamps burning.
