A pagoda south of Zegyo market on the east bank of the Shwetachaung canal in Mandalay, completed in 1884 to house a large bronze Buddha cast at Inwa for King Bagyidaw before 1824. The image was moved to Amarapura in 1852 at the outbreak of the Second Anglo-Burmese War and on to Mandalay in 1885 with the Third.
