History & significance

A Paadal Petra Sthalam at Kilpaluvur in Ariyalur district associated with the 7th-century saint Tirugnanasambandar; the ancient brick shrine was rebuilt in stone during the reigns of Parantaka Chola II and Uttama Chola.
