A Paadal Petra Sthalam on the banks of the Kollidam near Lalgudi, venerated in the Tevaram of Sambandar and Appar; the temple, attributed to Parantaka Chola I, has a five-tiered gopuram, three prakarams and notable images of Dakshinamurthy and Brahma.
When floods kept the boy-saint Sambandar on the far bank, Ganesha bent forward to hear his hymns, earning the name Sevi Saitha Vinayagar, "the Vinayaka who lent his ear".
