A Vaishnava temple of mud brick on a pancharatha plan, raised around 1680 under the patronage of the Ahom king Sulikphaa and counted among the better examples of late-medieval Ahom building. Protected by both the Assam government and the ASI, it remains the focus of local Doul Utsav and Bohag Bihu observances.
Local tradition says the temple once bore a golden finial that was carried off during invasions.
