A 10th-century Chola temple on the Then Pennai river at Thirukoilur, built as two parallel enclosures each with a three-tiered rajagopuram. It is a Paadal Petra Sthalam sung by three Nayanmars in the Tevaram and one of the Ashta Veerattanam shrines marking Shiva's eight victories over demons.
